Virginia (Vicky) joined Alterna on 2018 to strengthen strategic relationships and attract new allies and corporations to the Alterna Tribe ecosystem, and to give her professional career an inspiring turn, working in an innovating organization with social impact. She loves to learn, so she has worked for more than 17 years in various areas: the food industry (production, quality control, research and development of new products, and development of capabilities in human resources); in direct foreign investment issues for Guatemala, and commercial development and business for a multinational company. She has a degree in Food Sciences Engineering from Del Valle University in Guatemala, an MBA from the Alcalá University in Madrid, and has taken several complementary courses such as the High-Level Managing Program (PAG), High Level Public Management Program (PADP) in INCAE, Costa Rica and Project Management with UT (University of Texas.) Outside the office, Virginia loves to knit, study alternative therapies, read about psychology, and she is always willing to help people with physical or emotional ailments, using the healing power of magnets.

What inspires her?
Everything that connects and brings her closer to life´s essence, to herself, and to others.

Curious Fact
She has carried out a vegetarian diet since she was 12.
