As Alterna Cultivation Assistant, Oscar has the contact entrepreneurs in the early stages, strengthening business models or ideas through entrepreneurial tools and methodologies, which he designs together with the cultivation team. His experience in entrepreneurship has led him to work hand in hand with entrepreneurs from rural communities in Chile and Argentina, where he has had the opportunity to promote social ventures through the Balloon Latam program. Oscar studied Social Communication Sciences at the Mesoamerican University of Quetzaltenango and is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Projects at the University of San Carlos de Occidente. The professional path he has traveled has taken him through different media such as radio, television and press and he has been involved in communication consultancies for organizations with a social focus throughout Guatemala.
Outside the office, Oscar, is a radio host in the morning and also devotes much of his time to volunteers who have made him empathetic with people and is something that takes advantage to understand entrepreneurs and better channel their advice to them.
What inspires him?
Motivating those around him to get involved in the service of others, motivates him to leave the world better than he found it.
Oscar speaks with the chompipes (turkeys) and he is sure that they answer him.
